This page explains what the site stores, tracks, and may use for ads.

CrossBorder Margin Lab is a static website. Most calculator inputs stay in your browser, while site operations rely on analytics, lead-form delivery, and optional advertising services.

Information We Collect

The site does not require account registration for the calculator. We try to keep collection lightweight and tied to site operation.

  • Calculator inputs such as SKU name, price, costs, freight, and fee assumptions are stored locally in your browser when you choose to save scenarios.
  • When you copy a share link, the current calculator state may be encoded into the URL so you can reopen or share that scenario.
  • When you submit the starter-pack form, the information you enter, such as name, email address, platform interest, and notes, is sent through the configured form delivery service.
  • Basic analytics may capture page paths, referrers, device or browser information, and on-site events such as template clicks, saves, or CTA clicks.

How Information Is Used

We use information to operate the tool, understand demand, and improve the site.

  • Saved local scenarios help you continue your own calculations later on the same browser and device.
  • Analytics help us understand which pages, presets, and conversion paths are useful so we can improve the product and content.
  • Lead-form submissions are used to deliver requested resources, reply to support questions, or discuss relevant commercial services when requested.

Local Storage And Shared Links

The current save system uses browser storage, mainly localStorage. That means saved scenarios normally stay on your current device and browser unless you explicitly export or share them.

  • You can delete saved scenarios from within the interface.
  • You can also clear site data in your browser to remove locally stored information.
  • If you share a URL containing calculator state parameters, recipients who open that link may see the values included in the shared scenario.

Third-Party Services

The site may rely on external providers to host pages, measure usage, deliver forms, and support advertising.

  • Vercel or self-hosted infrastructure: used to serve the static site and related assets.
  • Vercel Web Analytics: used to measure visits and custom front-end events.
  • FormSubmit or an equivalent form relay: used to forward starter-pack requests to the site inbox.
  • Browser Web Speech API: used only when you choose voice playback for result summaries.
  • Google AdSense: may be used to show ads on selected public pages when advertising is enabled.

Ads, Cookies, And Consent

If advertising is enabled on this site, Google AdSense and related partners may use cookies or similar technologies to measure ad performance, limit fraud, and personalize or contextualize ads where allowed.

  • Ads are intended for selected public pages and are not part of the calculator data storage itself.
  • Google may use information such as page context, approximate location, browser data, and ad interaction signals to serve and report on ads.
  • For visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, consent choices may be shown through a Google-certified consent management platform when required before serving personalized ads.
  • You can manage cookies through your browser settings, and you can review Google's advertising and privacy controls through Google's own account and ad settings pages.
